OSTEOPATH Gayathri Liyanaarachchi MOst, B.Sc (Hons), ND, DO

Gayathri qualified from the British College of Osteopathic Medicine with a Masters in Osteopathy. Prior to training as an Osteopath, she studied Biomedical Sciences and graduated with a Bachelor of Sciences Honours degree. She is a friendly, approachable osteopath who has worked with a wide range of patients from newborn babies to the elderly and expectant mothers to athletes. She has also found naturopathy as an essential part of a treatment in terms of looking at the patient’s lifestyle and considering the external influences that could limit their healing process. She is wholly committed to the highest possible standards of patient care and has a passion for promoting health and vitality through increasing awareness of posture, exercise and healthy eating encouraging her patients to apply these principles in a practical day to day manner.‘I have always been fascinated by human body and more specifically the body’s structure, function and the cause of disease. Prior to study Osteopathy, I studied Biomedical Sciences with a special interest in Leukaemia. The knowledge I gained enabled me to be an effective practitioner who believes that prevention is better than cure.’

Her personal interests are in Cranial Osteopathy where she is able to treat young children and adults in a very subtle and effective manner. She has a special interest in structural Osteopathy where she uses a thorough biomechanical assessment to come to a diagnosis as she believes the root of the problem should be assessed for complete cure. Visceral osteopathy is another area where she has developed a special interest. She also studied acupuncture/dry needling to add an additional modality to her approach in treating patients.

‘My sole purpose of being a holistic physician is to provide good health care by using a wide range of treatment modalities from structural, cranial, visceral and dry needling.’

She is fully registered with the Institute of Osteopathy and the General osteopathic council.

Solution Focused Hypnotherapy with Margaret Capon 'I sought help with the executive function issues associated with dyslexia, dyscalculia and possible ADHD in order to be in the best place to study for a professional qualification whilst working. I found the results of working with Margaret to be incredible. I can quantify how much my function has improved and how much better I am at dealing with distraction, mental blocks, prioritisation and meeting deadlines without drama. The focus I have been able to achieve without going into exhausting hyperfocus has been unprecedented and I've been able to meet some tough objectives but also remembered to take breaks. It has been a joy to work with a practitioner who has an understanding of empathy with the neurodiverse functioning mind. The positive effect on all aspects of life have been such a boost And have freed up time and mental capacity. A huge thank you! Very much appreciated and happy travels! NP
